Fantastic Website dedicated to Col. Clarence E. "Bud" Anderson and the 357th FG, the "Yoxford Boys". Bud is a WWII Triple Ace who flew the P-51 Mustang, "Old Crow" while assigned to the 357th Fighter Group "Yoxford Boys", 8th Air Force, Leiston Field, United Kingdom. The 357th Fighter Group was credited with shooting down 609 1/2 enemy aircraft in only 15 months, a pace no other fighter group equaled. The 357th also produced 42 Aces (pilots with five or more victories in the air), more than any other group. Bud was the leading Ace of the 363rd Fighter Squadron with 16 1/4 victories. The "BOOKSTORE" is finally open! You can order books through the Bookstore and a small portion of the proceeds will go back to FlyAndFight.com to help pay for the expenses of keeping this website. I wanted to make sure that everyone is aware of this. As long as you place your orders while having linked to Amazon.com through FlyAndFight.com, this website will get the credit for the sale. So even if you purchase another item, a CD, for example, FlyAndFight.com would receive credit for it as well. Hey, every little bit helps... Thank you! AxA
Aviation History Today
To Mark the 66th anniversary of the "Battle of Britain", I'll be posting a day by day summary of the battle. The main part of the battle ran from August to October 1940. In those few weeks, the fate of not only Britain, but of Western Europe rested on the "Few", who battled the onslaught of Luftwaffe bombers and fighters and refused to be defeated. For a complete day-to-day summary, visit the "Battle of Britain: 60th Anniversary" page. Just click HERE. This year marks the 52th anniversary of the start of the Korean War. Known unfortunately as the "Forgotten War", I wish that everyone would at least take a moment to remember those heroes who fought and died to stem the communist take-over of South Korea. May their sacrifice not be in vain. Please visit the following site for a listing of commemorative celebrations:

May God strengthen and comfort those families whom have lost loved ones in this tragic event. Indeed, may the Lord strengthen and comfort our entire nation, which has been delt a cowardly blow but will recover, rebuild and respond with determination, unity and courage. -Alexander (AxA) Alonso To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul; in you I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame. Psalm 25: 1-3
